Hi everyone!
Writing to you from WaterBear, we’re a production company and free streaming platform, based in Amsterdam, dedicated to distributing impactful documentaries in the social and environmental space.
We’re currently producing a mini documentary series with Oatly (the oat drink company), who are one of our latest partners. The series will have 3 episodes, each around 90-120 sec long, and each shining a light on everyday people, who are defying the norms by adopting alternative, sustainable lifestyle choices. The aim is to create a fun, entertaining series (think Wes Anderson meets Humans of New York…) that shows viewers the impact that one small, daily routine change can have on the planet. We love the wormhotel initiative and are planning to showcase it in one of the episodes, as ‘a day in the life of a wormhotelier’. The aim is to complete the series before the end of the year, and launch it on the WaterBear platform around the New Year – Oatly will also promote it across their channels.
Having spoken with Arie (founder of Wormenhotel.nl), who’s kindly supporting this project, we’re now looking for a wormhotelier, ideally based in Amsterdam (but also open to other locations in the Netherlands), who would be happy to be our main contributor in the film and comfortable to do it in English. The shoot would take 1-2 days, towards the end of October, and any travel/accommodation/food costs during the shoot would be covered by us.
